Coffee and business. They just go together, much like people and networking.
Time and time again, we’ve heard our business clients talk about the need for more networking events with their peers and like-minded individuals. So, to cap off National Small Business Month, The Bank of Missouri organized an event we called “Meet on Middle.”
We invited the Remix Coffee Co. coffee truck to park next to our downtown location in Cape Girardeau. The food truck gang was so on-board, they even crafted a specialty coffee for our event as well as a lemonade we nicknamed the “Power BoM” (BoM=Bank of Missouri.) They even colored it “Bank of Missouri green.”
We also worked with city management to shut down part of Middle St. next to that branch. That’s where our event name derived from: Meet on Middle. Then, we got to work inviting small business owners to attend.
The result?
People attending commented on how nice it was to start a Friday morning off with free coffee, music, and a networking opportunity. And, at The Bank of Missouri, this event depicts what we try to do. We support business owners from the time they sign on the dotted loan of their loan application to long after that with networking events like this designed to help local businesses flourish.
